Introducing The Star Company

Watch the opening credits of Seth & Osiris

The Star Company started in 1926 in Los Angeles, USA. One of their first big successes was the longest cowboy film ever made, Cowboy Hunt. Since then the company has had a mixed history of highs and lows. Almost before their studio opened there was a huge fire which burnt down all of their new buildings. In 1938 the studio was broken into by a clown, who was shot by police while trying to escape. In 1945 the studio was hit by a warhead. Between 1950 and 1964 the company was closed by the government after someone was caught making illegal films! Their first big hit after re-opening was Dinosaur Park in 1964.

Their biggest box-office smash to date was Vampire Blood in 1980. There were more break-ins in 1966 and 1970, in 1973 the security level went up. In 2001 the studio was destroyed by a plane.Since then the company has been planning new premises. Star Company are currently re-telling the Ancient Egyptian myth, Seth & Osiris.
