Infant Poetry Workshop

Infant school children from all Medway Excellence Cluster Schools had the opportunity to attend poetry workshops run at Saxon Way Primary School by the poet, Ros Barber.

Children from our Excellence Cluster Infant and Primary schools took part in a poetry writing day in November last year, here are poems by some of the children.

Loud speaker
Shout maker
Baby rocker
Washing hanger
Nappy changer
Hard worker

Boss abouter
Screaming shouter
Teller offer
Cookie gobbler
Kid carer
Class scarer
Coffee drinker
Tea sipper
Mask maker
Tearing paper
That’s my teacher

 

Imaginary Menagerie
Teach your monkey to munch maggots
Teach your slug to slow down
Teach your frog to flip for hours
Teach your snake to sneeze
Teach your tiger to tip tea over
Teach your hamster to huggle and hop
Teach your dog to draw dancing daddies
Teach your zebra to zip a zip up
Teach your lion to listen louder
Teach your cat to catch a cold
Teach your cow to cry
