Training for Teachers
John Palliser from SAPERE ran three workshops for teachers from primary and junior schools and for secondary school science teachers. John gave excellent deliveries on Philosophy for Children, (also called Enquiry and Dialogue). He was joined by a colleague, Lisa Barratt for the science session.
Through active participation, the teachers were able to experience the value of this method in developing critical thinking skills and encouraging productive dialogue. The workshops fired the teachers with enthusiasm to try this method within their own classrooms.
