The Behaviour Improvement Programme (BIP)
The BIP was funded via a separate source of funding from the DfES. The main emphasis of the BIP was focused on improving pupil behaviour and attendance – areas which can present key barriers to learning. Each School within the BIP received a sum of money which could be used to achieve agreed BIP targets.
BIP Funding has supported a number of initiatives within our cluster schools. These have included:
- Provision of Behaviour Mentors
- The creation of a Full Service Extended School (FSES)
- Provision of a Family Liaison Officer (FLO)
- Breakfast clubs
- First day call system
- Targeted provision for at risk students
- SHARE scheme
- Peer mediators
- Staff training
